New Penalty System for Absentees
This year, the RSSB has introduced a new penalty system for candidates who fail to appear for the exam.
- If a candidate misses two exams within a financial year, their application facility will be blocked. To unblock it, they must pay a penalty of ₹750.
- If they miss two more exams in the same year, the penalty increases to ₹1500.

Increased Vacancies for Animal Attendant Posts
Initially, the recruitment drive was announced to fill 5,934 vacancies. However, the number of posts was later increased to 6,433. Out of around 17 lakh registered candidates, only 10.5 lakh appeared for the exam, marking an attendance rate of 59.6%.
